Introducing tutor.com!

Updated: Jun 23, 2021

We have some great new online tools available to help students of all ages succeed: Tumble Math and Tutor.com.

Our library system is part of the SCB2 STEM Ecosystem, formed to provide STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering Math) learning resources in Cambria, Somerset, Bedford, and Blair counties. These resources come to us through that partnership. I’ve written about TumbleMath earlier. Tutor.com is the newest addition.

The CSB2 STEM Ecosystem’s STEM tutor.com platform offers live tutoring and homework help between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. every day. Start a live tutoring session at http://www.tutor.com/csb2 our or by clicking on any of the tutor.com icon links on our website — on this blog post, our home page, or our e-resources page.

Many more features are available if you sign up for a free account. Take practice tests for SAT and ACT exams. Results are analyzed to identify areas of strength and areas where more work is needed. There is a drop-off math problem feature. Within 24 hours, a work-through explaining the process of solving the problem will be provided. There are resources for college application preparation.

Tutors undergo subject matter tests and careful background screenings are repeated every 6 months. If you find a tutor who is especially helpful for your learning style, you can add that tutor to a favorite tutor list. You can store information from tutoring sessions for later reference.

We hope students will make use of tutor.com.
