Our Friends of the Library group is having another Marianna's Sub/Pizza Sale! Order and pay by September 13. Pick up subs on September 24 at the library between noon and 2PM. Price: $10 each.

Subs: Italian, All American, Ham & Swiss, Sweet Lebanon Bologna, Ham Club, Roast Beef, Smoked Ham & Cheddar, Turkey, Traditional, and Three Cheese.

Pizzas: Pepperoni, White, and Cheese.

Do you love LEGOs? Do you enjoy creating things with those popular little blocks? If you are an elementary-age youth (grades K-5) who likes to build with LEGOs, this is the club for you! Join us any Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m. for a session of LEGO construction!

Are you a writer, or aspiring writer? Join our writers' group! New to the group? Bring a sample of your writing, if you have one to share, for the group to discuss at the first meeting you attend. (No more than ten pages double-spaced, please!) We are currently meeting the 2nd Thursday of the month at 5PM.

Do you enjoy looking through old photos, sharing memories, and preserving local history? The Way We Were Club may be for you! The library now has thousands of photos and negatives, covering a multitude of subjects, we're received from Meyersdale's former New Republic newspaper. If you like technology, we can even show you how to scan photos for digital preservation! There is no set schedule for the club. It is up to members to decide when they want to come.

Our next book discussion will be on Thursday, September 27. The book will be "America For a Beginner" by Eva Berck.

Copies are available now to sign out at the library.

Meyersdale is 150 years old this year, and local residents have been meeting at the library to plan celebratory events. All are welcome to join the conversation!

Did you know that there used to be a brewery in Meyersdale? Join presenter Lee Porter as he presents the history of the Meyersdale Brewing Company. No beer will be served, but a heaping helping of local history will be on the menu!
