On Thursday, April 30, at 7PM, we will be discussing the book Before We Were Yours, by Lisa Wingate.

The book is written in dual timelines: 1939 Memphis, Tennessee and present-day Aiken, South Carolina. It is based on a notorious real-life scandal: Georgia Tann, director of a Memphis-based adoption organization, kidnapped and sold poor children to wealthy families all over the country.

Copies of the book are available now to sign out of the library.

You do not have to commit to attending the discussion to sign out a book, but all books must be returned by April 30.
